Hardwood Artisans - Furniture Maker Based Out Of Virginia & Maryland

"Hardwood Artisans" is a green, local and employee-owned furniture maker in Northern Virginia and Maryland. We started in 1976 selling loft beds out of a basement in Alexandria and now we have a local factory, 70 employees and 4 stores conveniently located in Northern Virginia and Maryland.

Our furniture is built to order out of solid wood by our expert craftsmen and designed to exceed our customer's wildest dreams. Our customers can even stop by the factory to see their furniture being built. With the leftovers from larger pieces of furniture, we build many beautiful accessories such as clipboards and suzy cubes; our fun portable wood cubbies. All of our wood is from sustainable growth forests, most of which are 300 miles away or less.

Stepping into our stores is akin to walking through a museum, rather than just a "store" selling furniture. It's an experience you have to see for yourself to believe!
