Are you going to be visiting the Lancaster, York, Harrisburg or Columbia area in Pennsylvania? Looking for something fun to do with the kids? If so, I would like to suggest that you check out the Turkey Hill Experience located at 301 Linden Street in Columbia Pennsylvania.

There are two sections to the Turkey Hill Experience a "free" section and a "paid" admission section and we suggest you do both! In the "free" section you will learn about the Frey family and some Lancaster county history. There is an interactive exhibit in this section and a very cute farm cow display.

In the "paid" admission section you will visit the ice cream area, the tea area and the third area in this section is a talking exhibit telling you about the history of Turkey Hill Dairy Farms. You can go through each area and participate in some hands on exhibits.

Both of these sections are self-guided tours so you can do them in any order that you wish and you can take your time as you go along. Children under the age of 4 are free, children ages 5-17 are $9.50, adults ages 17 and over are $11.50. As you can see...very affordable family fun! My grandchildren loved making their own ice cream with goodies! (see photo below).

You can learn more about the Turkey Hill Experience by visiting their web site for additional information, opening times, costs and driving directions. I will be updating this post with some photographs in the coming weeks.
