Weekend Getaway to Mount Airy Casino Resort in Mount Pocono

Mount Airy Casino Resort is the perfect place to go for a weekend getaway if you live anywhere on the east coast. We live in south central Pennsylvania and we were able to drive up there in 2 1/2 hours and let me tell you, it was a beautiful drive.

* Before Reading Further, please see our disclosure at the bottom of this travel feature.
You'll find Mount Airy Casino Resort at 312 Woodland Road in Mount Pocono Pennsylvania. The resort has won the AAA Four Diamond Award for the past 6 years and is centrally located in Mount Pocono and close to all of the nearby attractions, like the Pocono Raceway, The Crossings Outlet Mall and more!
The resort has a lot to offer including a fast-paced & fun casino, an on-site spa and hair salon, an indoor swimming pool, outdoor swimming pool (seasonal), on-site championship 18-hole golf course, gift shops, restaurants, a 24 hour fitness gym, comedy shows, music concerts and more! Whether your a night owl or a daytime lover, there is always something to see and do at Mount Airy Resort!
My husband and I were looking to get away for a weekend to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and we headed up to Mount Airy Casino Resort for some fun. As soon as you drive onto the property you'll notice beautifully landscaped grounds that are very spacious and surrounded by woodlands. You'll find a nice pond that sits in front of the resort and across the pond you'll find the golf clubhouse.
If you're staying overnight, I suggest using their valet parking service, but if not, you can choose to self-park. You'll want to enter the resort through the motel entrance and you'll arrive immediately into their beautiful, modern and spacious lobby area. The front desk sits to the right and we were able to get checked-in within 5 minutes flat!
While you're in the lobby area you'll find a few places where you can sit down and relax. One of the things I absolutely LOVED about their large lobby was the beautiful waterfall that is centrally located within it. I enjoyed sitting in the lobby and just listening to the water and did some "people watching" while I was there.
In the lobby you'll find the bell hops, valet service courtesy desk, the resort/hotel front desk, the News Stands gift shop, elevators leading up to the guest rooms and stairs & escalators that lead up to the casino and restaurant area. This is a nice area to take your vacation photos since you can't have any type of camera out on the casino floor. This is also a good time to mention that you have to be 21 years of age or older to be on the casino floor. They will ask for photo ID on anyone that they feel doesn't look that age.
After we were checked in...we took the elevator up to the third floor and found our guest room. The hallways throughout the resort are extremely clean with modern decor. I also appreciate that they are well-lit with cameras on every floor. Matter of fact, you can't use the "guest" elevators unless you have an electronic room key and I appreciate that extra layer of security too.
Our suite was very spacious and extremely clean! We travel a lot and I can honestly tell you that this room was immaculate! Our room had 2 large-sized beds, a sitting chair with table, a desk area with chair, a nice hallway and of course, the spacious bathroom!
Our room had a mini bar that was stocked with snacks, beverages & alcohol. If you decide to take anything out of the mini bar, you will pay for those items. They have a little list on the mini bar to tell you what is available and how much it will cost. Our room had a Keurig coffee brewer, so we enjoyed complimentary coffee every morning once we were up.
The beds in our room were super comfortable and the bedding was definitely high-end! Each bed had 4 bed pillows and I really appreciated that since I'm a multi-pillow sleeper. In the room is a nice-sized closet where you can store your luggage, hang-up clothing, iron & ironing board and it's also where you'll find your little "in room" safe.
If you're used to tiny bathrooms in hotels when you travel...well, You'll love the spacious bathrooms here! The bathroom is actually split up with a separate toilet area, vanity area & shower area. You'll find complimentary toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, shower cap & soaps), a hair dryer and plenty of super-soft bath linens. The bathroom was extremely-clean & immaculate too!

We spent 2 nights and I have to admit to all of you...it was the best 2 nights sleep that I've had in a long time! The beds are really comfortable and even though it's a large resort, we heard NOT A SOUND all night long! It was so quiet, you could of heard a pin drop!
On one particular evening we decided "dine in" and ordered room service since we were celebrating our anniversary & just wanted some quiet time alone. After we placed our order, it was delivered within 35 minutes and was piping hot! I ordered the rack of ribs and my husband ordered the seasoned chicken. Oh my gosh...this food was absolutely delicious! We felt like we are at a fine dining restaurant, but this was even better because we were dining in our room.
For this particular travel feature, I'll be writing two separate posts. This first one is all about their wonderful resort accommodations. In my second post (travel feature) I'll be covering the resort's amenities, giving you information about the gaming casino, restaurants, shops, spa and salon, golf clubhouse, entertainment offerings, venue opportunities, etc. I'll link the two posts together, so that you can easily find them. Look for it in about a week!
If you're looking for a weekend getaway and want to get out of the city, we highly recommend that you visit Mount Airy Casino Resort in Mount Pocono Pennsylvania. You can learn more about Mount Airy Resort by visiting their website online.

This looks like a great resort, with everything one could want available. YOur room and bathroom was very big and comfortable. I am glad that you loved the meal you ordered from room service.
