The Quality Inn is within walking distance to the Lincoln Train Museum, the Gettysburg Heritage Center & Museum (right across the street), the Gettysburg Diorama and the Soldiers' National Cemetery. In addition, Steinwehr Avenue is loaded with a lot of nice gift shops, restaurants and other attractions. The hotel sits right before you actually enter the battlefield which is really nice.
We stayed there during the early fall season and temperatures were still in the 80's, so it was nice to get outside and walk to some the attractions that we wanted to do. The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool (open seasonally), an indoor heated pool, a hot tub spa, a golf putting hole and you get a hot complimentary breakfast every morning. Our check-in was super fast and the staff was extremely nice and very helpful in answering any questions that we had about the area attractions, etc.
Our hotel room was immaculately clean and I mean IMMACULATE! We had two queen size beds, a desk with sitting chair, a small table with two chairs, dressers, television, in-room coffee, a small microwave, a small refrigerator, in-room iron, ironing board and hair dryer. They also provided complimentary soaps, lotion and shampoo.
Check out the immaculately clean bathroom above! Seriously, our room was sparkling clean and smelled fresh too! It didn't smell like your classic hotel room at all! I'm particular and fussy about cleanliness and this room definitely passed my test! Every time we check into a hotel room, I go over it with a fine-tooth comb before we even sit our luggage down. I was really impressed!
Every day during our visit after we spent the day out and about...we enjoyed coming back to our room, changing into our swimming suits and heading over to their indoor swimming pool. Every time we went over to the pool, no one was there, so we had it all to ourselves! The pool is a decent size, not too small, nor too large. There are plenty of chairs sitting around the pool, numerous fresh & clean towels and in the corner you'll find the hot tub which was fabulous! Its nice to sit in that thing after doing a lot of walking all day long and relax!
We really enjoyed our trip to Gettysburg in Pennsylvania and if you're looking for affordable accommodations that are centrally located to a lot of the area's attractions, you'll want to consider staying at the Quality Inn in Gettysburg, located near the historic Gettysburg Battlefield.
