Morey's Piers Amusement Park for Family Fun in Wildwood

Morey's Piers and Beachfront Water Parks are located directly on the beach in Wildwood, New Jersey. When you visit Morey's Piers you will find three large wooden piers filled with amusement park rides, fun carnival style games and two fun-filled water parks for you and your family to enjoy.

Morey's Piers is a family owned and operated seaside park that spans over 18 acres along six beach blocks. What's really nice is that all three of the amusement piers are within walking distance from one another. You can play on one, two or all three of them in a single day.

When you visit the park you can elect to pay-per-rid by purchasing tickets or buy an all-day riding pass. We always purchase the all-day pass for our grandchildren as it's a better value and when you do the pay-per-ride tickets...it adds up fast. I guess it really depends on how long you plan on spending time there. We typically spend 3-4 hours on the day that we visit.

Between all three of the amusement piers you'll find a ton of different rides. There are kiddie rides, rides for the entire family and then there are extreme thrill rides for the adults. Most rides are "dry rides" with a few of them being water rides where you'll get wet. All rides come with rider requirements and restrictions which are posted near the entrance of each ride.

All of the amusement rides are broken down into 3 different categories:

* High Thrill Rides - High speeds with extremely unusual & stressful physical forces. This ride contains startling & unexpected thrills appropriate for ONLY the most healthy & physically able riders.

* Moderate Thrill Rides - Moderate speeds with unexpected movements & stressful physical forces. This ride may contain unanticipated thrills.

* Mild Thrill Rides - Low speeds with expected movements and anticipated thrills.

There are two different water parks...one is located on the Surfside Pier at 25th Avenue and the Boardwalk and the second one is called Raging Waters located at Mariner's Pier at Schellenger Avenue and the Boardwalk.

During the weekends, Morey's gets really busy during the summer season so I suggest that you plan ahead. You may want to try to visit during the "off peak" hours during the day when a lot of people are over on the beach, as compared to visiting during the evening hours. I highly suggest that you talk to your children ahead of time about staying with you and what to do should they wander away and get lost. Safety is always first!

While my family enjoys visiting all three of the amusement piers, they really prefer the middle one which has a lot of the family-friendly and kiddie rides. All of the photographs in my feature today are of rides on that particular pier. In addition to the rides on that pier, you'll find the Morey's Piers gift store, several carnival-style games and a few small eatery's that offer your typical foods like pizza, hamburgers, hot dogs, tacos, french fries, onion rings, etc.

Every time we visit the Jersey Shore (Avalon, Stone Harbor, Wildwood or Cape May), we always plan a family fun visit to Morey's Piers Amusement Park. It's great fun for the entire family and has become a family tradition every time we travel down to the shore!
