Classic Diner Fare at the Vegas Diner in Wildwood

Vegas Diner in North Wildwood New Jersey
When we travel, we will often look for a great diner to pick up a quick breakfast, lunch or dinner. While visiting Wildwood back in September we stopped into the Vegas Diner for a quick dinner one evening and to our pleasant surprise...the food was really good! A nice thing about this restaurant is that they're open year-round.

The Vegas Diner is located on the corner of New Jersey Avenue and 14th Street in North Wildwood, New Jersey. There are numerous diners on the island and this particular one was voted as the BEST diner in the Wildwoods for the past 19 years. That's saying a lot, since I'm aware of at least 7 other ones located on the island, not including on the mainland. If you're looking for diners in Wildwood, we've compiled a list of them that you can check out on our blog.

We dined there on a Thursday evening at around 6:30 PM and it wasn't crowded at all. We were immediately seated and handed menu's. Within 10 minutes our waitress took our order and about 15 minutes later the food was on the table. The waitress was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive.

All of our food arrived at the appropriate temperatures...hot food was hot and the cold food was cold. Everything was perfectly cooked to our specifications when we placed our order and was as expected, no surprises along the way.

We had 4 people in our dining party with one of them being a child who selected her dinner from the children's menu. One of the dining adults had a bowl of chili and a salad, another adult enjoyed a chicken quesadilla and the final adult had a burger with french fries. As the one who enjoyed the chicken quesadilla, they were accommodating in giving me a generous supply of sour cream along with it. Yay!

The restaurant was extremely clean and you have your choice between being seated at a table or in a booth. Just let your hostess know ahead of time what type of seating you prefer. Regarding prices, I would say that their prices are a tad higher than most other diners that we've visited, but I can honestly tell you that their food is a lot better and their menu is quite vast. Something for everyone to enjoy.

If you're looking for a quick bite to eat while visiting the Wildwood island, you'll want to check out the Vegas Diner located on New Jersey Avenue. On our restaurant rating scale, we give them 7 stars out of 10 stars.
