The Broadway Series Jersey Boys at the Hershey Theatre

If you enjoy the theater and Broadway Shows you'll want to check out all of the shows that are available at the Hershey Theatre in downtown Hershey, Pennsylvania. If you've never been there before, its easy to get to and within a short driving distance from Harrisburg, Gettysburg, Lancaster, York and the surrounding areas.

The theatre was built between 1929 and 1933. The architecture of the building is breath-taking and beautiful. The building was designed by Lancaster architect Emlen Urban, a famous architect in the area during the late 1920's.

The Hershey Theatre hosts a wide variety of professional Broadway performances, musical concerts and various other forms of entertainment. You will find shows for the kids like Sesame Street Live to Broadway hits like Annie and Jersey Boys.

Last weekend we visited the theatre to see the Broadway hit Jersey Boys. This was our second time seeing the show (once on Broadway) and now in Hershey. In my honest opinion, the show in Hershey was even better than the one in New York City and we didn't have to travel 2 1/2 hours to get there!

Jersey Boys is the story of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons. Cast Members included: Jonathan Cable, Eric Chambliss, Corey Greenan, Jonny Wexler, Ashley Bruce, Tony L. Clements, Rick Desloge, Wade Dooley, Todd DuBail, Caitlin Leary, Kevin Patrick Martin, Jeremy Sartin, Chloe Tiso, Kit Treece and Jessica Wockenfuss.

The showing that we went to was an "almost" sold-out show and its was really crowded. Even so, everyone was in a great mood and excited to see the show. You'll want to enter through the doors at one of the approved entrances (front or back) and be ready to go through the security screening process. If you're taking in a handbag, security will need to see inside it. Keys, cellphones, etc. need to be placed into the tray and checked. Once through the security screening you'll need to show your admission tickets and will be directed where to go.

Jersey Boys was a 2 1/2 hour show with one 15-minute intermission. That's just enough time to use the restroom or to grab a refreshment. In my honest opinion, not enough time to do both. We used the restroom (long line) and barely made it back to our seats before the show restarted. Just wanted to mention that. The show was one of the best that we've ever seen at the Hershey Theatre and we've been to several over the past few years. If you haven't seen Jersey Boys yet, we highly recommend it.

Tickets to performances can be purchased online, by phone or at the box office. They make buying your tickets easy and convenient. You can find a seating chart online and order tickets according to where you would like to sit (if available). If you're handicap, they do have some seating available for you too.
