Family Fun at Jurassic Mini Golf in North Wildwood

Jurassic Mini Golf in North Wildwood, New Jersey
Heading to the south Jersey Shore for summer vacation? Going to spend some time in Stone Harbor, Wildwood, or Cape May in New Jersey? If so, you'll find about two dozen different places to play miniature golf in the area, but one of our favorites is in North Wildwood.

Jurassic Adventure Golf is located on New Jersey Avenue, one of the main drags that runs from north to south on the island. You'll find that they're open seasonally and the entire 18-hole miniature golf course is done in a Jurassic (mostly) dinosaur theme. If your child loves dinosaurs, they're going to love this family-friendly course.

During the summer season you'll find them open from 10:00 AM through 11:00 PM and are open 7 days a week.  Once you pay your admission fee you can choose your golf club (kids and adult sizes) and your color ball. They give you a score card and pencil, so that you can keep track of your score as you go along.

On the day that we visited we had 5 adults and 2 children in our party. They weren't crowded and it took us about 75 minutes to get through their course. We took our good old time since we had 2 young children with us and one of them was golfing for the very first time. If you want to avoid crowds and the heat...go early in the morning or during a weekday evening.

The course is laid out really nicely and you don't feel crammed into a small space like you do at other places. There are not a lot of places to sit down though (benches), so you'll want to keep moving forward. My grandchildren loved seeing all of the dinosaur statues as we went through the course. My grandson absolutely LOVED the gigantic T-Rex, it was his favorite!

There are 2 really nice water features on the course but on the day that we visited the one wasn't working. The other one was and it was really pretty. Recently all of the animal statues had gotten a fresh coat of paint, so it was looking pretty spiffy during our visit. The course is very clean and seems to be well-kept.

For the adults in our party we found the majority of the holes to be par-3 with several at par-2. We play miniature golf several times a year and are by no means experts at the game. I would say that 2-3 of the holes were fairly easy, while the rest were a little bit more challenging. Enough to make the game fun and exciting for everyone who was playing.

Once we got done playing we received a little cup full of ice cold lemonade when we checked out. Wow, what a really nice touch! I don't know if they offer that every day, but we were certainly impressed with that little gesture! Overall, our entire family had a really nice time and we'll definitely be playing there again when visiting the Jersey Shore.
