Classic Comfort Food at the Star Diner in North Wildwood

The Star Diner Cafe is located in North Wildwood, New Jersey and is one of our favorite diners on the island. You'll find it located on 325 West Spruce Avenue, across the street from Wawa. The establishment has their own parking lot with a few handicap spaces. If you're handicap, they have a ramp leading up to the entrance for wheelchair users.

We have dined several times over the past 10 years at the Star Diner and have never been disappointed. On our most recent trip to the diner we were immediately seated and handed our menus. If you're looking to save a little money...you can check out their Daily Specials which are always changing.

Our waitress was really fantastic! She gave us the low-down on the daily specials, most popular menu items, etc. After perusing the menu we placed our orders and enjoyed some conversation with a few locals who were sitting nearby. The couple were telling us that they come to the Star Diner twice a week for dinner and that its one of their favorite restaurants in the area.

My wife ordered the classic chicken quesadilla with a side order of sweet potato fries and cole slaw. I ordered the beef pot roast and potatoes. I got a side salad and a small dish of baked macaroni and cheese along with it. All of our food arrived on our table in less than 25 minutes after placing our order.

Everything that we ordered was prepared and cooked to perfection. My wife had some specific requests for her quesadilla (no peppers or onions) and they honored that. Their serving portions are generous, so unless your a big eater...you should have leftovers to take home. Take-out boxes are available upon request.

If delicious homemade desserts are your thing...they have those too! You'll find various homemade cakes, cheesecakes, pies, cookies, ice cream sundaes, rice pudding and more! We like to get our dessert choices to-go, so that we can enjoy them later. Just look at some of those yummy dessert choices in their display!!!

The restaurant is very clean and well-kept. Upon arrival you can decide if you want to be seated in a booth, at a table or at the counter. We prefer a booth as we find it more comfortable and a little bit more intimate when we're dining there. If you don't have time to dine-in...you can pick up a menu and order take-out.

Every time we're down to the Jersey Shore and in the Wildwood, Stone Harbor or Cape May areas, we stop in to the Star Diner Cafe in North Wildwood. It's one of our favorite restaurants on the Wildwoods island. The food is delicious, the portion-sizes are generous and their prices just can't be beat!
