Scenic Views from the Wildwood Crest Pier

Wildwood Crest Beaches and Pier in New Jersey
Wildwood Crest has some of the widest beaches at the south Jersey Shore. There is plenty of room for families to enjoy. You can do your social distancing, play a few outdoor games or just enjoy the sun. With that said...it's quite the walk from the boardwalk to the water's edge.

If you go a few blocks down from the end of the boardwalk you'll find the Wildwood Crest Pier. It's a wooden pier that leads from the edge of the street out across the sand. It's a walk...so wear comfortable walking shoes when visiting. The beach is closed from 11:00 PM to 6:00 AM, please read all of the posted signs before heading out.

It's an easy walk with park-style benches located at several points along the way. Near the entrance you'll find an area that has benches and tables. Feel free to bring along your own picnic style lunch and enjoy it seaside. Just make sure you clean-up when you're done.

We took a walk out to the end of the pier and even on a very cloudy day you got some beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean. It had just finished raining...so there was a little bit of fog still in the air. We spend a good 20 minutes out there taking some photos and enjoying the view.

The first three photos in our post are from our walk out onto the pier and going toward's the Atlantic Ocean. The fourth photograph shows my wife looking out at the Atlantic Ocean about 80% out on the pier. The final photo shows you what it looks like when you're walking back and seeing the shoreline with hotels dotted alongside it. The weather was finally starting to clear-up on our way back in.

The Wildwood Crest Pier is a great way to get out near the water's edge without having to trample through a lot of sand. Let's face it, some people have no interest trucking through sand! It was definitely worth the walk!
