The Fall Colors In South Central Pennsylvania

When people go out driving around to look at the fall colors of the autumn leaves...they usually don't think of the state of Pennsylvania. When I talk to people and ask them where they like to travel in the fall to see the turning of the leaves, a lot of people tell me the states of Maine, Conneticut, New Hampshire, New York and Virginia...rarely do they say Pennsylvania!

I would like to tell people who enjoy looking at nature's beauty that Pennsylvania is a great state to travel to if you want to see the fall foliage. If you want to drive to the upper portion of the state, check out State College and the Pocono's and if you want to see the fall foliage in the lower half of the state, take a trip to Lancaster Country...Amish Country!

The photo above was taken in Lancaster County just 2 1/2 weeks ago. As we drove down to Lancaster and onto Route 30...it was just gorgeous! The trees were in all of their wonderful fall foliage of colors...ranging from yellow, orange, red and some dark purple ones!

So...the next time you want to check out the fall foliage on the east coast...make sure you plan a trip to Pennsylvania!
