Earlier this month my family headed down to Wildwood New Jersey for a 9 day vacation. We love going down to Wildwood early in September and have been going down there for almost 20 years. September is a beautiful time of the year to be at the Jersey Shore...the weather is a little cooler, beautiful sunshine and everything isn't as crowded like it is during the July and August summer months.
When the kids are down with us...they love to spend an evening riding all of the amusement rides over on Morey's Piers. You can get their schedule of operation, schedule of events and see all of the amusement rides & waterpark fun that they have to offer by visiting the Morey's Piers & Beachfront Waterparks web site.
On this particular trip we had our 4 1/2 year old grand daughter with us and she was super excited to spend an evening at Morey's Piers riding some of the fabulous amusement rides that they have to offer. Just a word of caution, Morey's is pretty expensive and it only took us 65 minutes to burn through about $70.00. You can buy a riding pass or you can purchase tickets...we did the ticket thing & probably should of gotten her a riding pass.
One of her favorite rides was the old-fashioned carousel and she had to be on the upper deck. She picked out the perfect horse to ride and her Pappy (my husband) went along with her. She loved this ride so much that she got on it two more times before the night was over.
There are 3 piers filled with rides, games and the typical carnival style food that will give you and your family hours upon hours of family fun! On this particular night...we stayed just on the one pier and spent about 3 hours letting our grand daughter ride some rides, play some games with her Pappy and when we were done we got some boardwalk lemonade, funnel cakes and cotton candy. After all...we gotta eat some great junk food too!
What is really nice about Morey's Pier is that they have A LOT of great rides! You will find rides that only the young children can get on...others the parents can get on with their kids and then there are solely some rides that only the adults can enjoy! Hubby had a blast getting on the roller coaster by himself (I am too chicken) and he really enjoyed that one!
Summer is coming to an end but the fun at Morey's Piers isn't over yet! On October 12th they are hosting the Zombie Mud Run which looks like it will be a lot of fun! You can visit their web site and see what other Fall activities they have planned for this year. We had a great time & definitely will be back!
