Hereford Inlet Park - North Wildwood New Jersey

Hereford Inlet Park - North Wildwood New Jersey
We love the North Wildwood area at the Jersey Shore...matter of fact, it is our favorite Jersey Shore town! When we are down at the shore we like to hangout and visit the Hereford Inlet Park which is one block from the famous Hereford Inlet Lighthouse. You can easily park there and walk to both area attractions.

During the summer months when the area is hopping with tourists they often hold musical concerts at the Hereford Inlet Park. The range of music and bands that they feature is varied and all of the entertainment is held outdoors in the fresh sea air.

When concerts are not going on...you can take leisurely walks through the park or go up on the sea wall to catch some gorgeous views of the Atlantic Ocean and of the Hereford Inlet. This part of the island is not crowded like other areas and you can really enjoy some quiet time here.

If you are looking to observe some coastal birds, take photos of the ocean or take a chance and see some dolphins swimming by...this is the place you want to be! Matter of fact, we feel that the best place to search for gorgeous seashells happens to be on the beach right behind the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse!

We love to hang out on this part of the island because it is just beautiful. It is our favorite place to take walks on the beach, through the park or just to get some nice family photos. There are plenty of benches here for you to sit down and relax for a bit or bring along a bagged lunch & a book!

Roaming around the park grounds and the lighthouse grounds is FREE and makes for a great affordable family-friendly activity while visiting the Jersey Shore. There are some porta-potties nearby but I recommend you hit a public restroom before heading here as they are usually not very clean. Other than that, I think you will love visiting this area. Enjoy your trip!
