Morey's Piers in Wildwood - Ghost Ship

Morey's Piers in Wildwood - Ghost Ship
When you visit Wildwood in New Jersey, you'll most likely spend a little bit of time on Morey's Piers, which is actually 3 different piers that offer amusement rides and carnival-style games. The 3 amusement piers include:

On the Mariner's Pier you'll find classic rides like: the tea cups, merry-go-round (carousel horses), the giant wheel (ferris wheel), Mariner's arcade, wave swinger, bumper cars and one of their most famous attractions on Mariner's Pier is the Ghost Ship!

This ship is a lot of scary fun and is one of the most popular attractions on this particular pier, next to the Giant Wheel. Every year when we visit...the adults and older kids make sure they visit the Ghost Ship which has become an annual family tradition. I do NOT recommend this for the little ones at all.

Today I'm sharing just three photos with all of you of the famous Ghost Ship that were taken recently while on one of our many trips down to Wildwood New Jersey. I couldn't get any photos from inside due to the darkness and low light...but at least you can see what it looks like from the outside.

You do have to buy amusement park admission passes or ride tickets to experience the Ghost Ship. On the top of the Ghost Ship is a ride (boats that hang from a rail) that take you slowly above the park so that you can get a bird's eye view. This ride is totally appropriate for everyone in the family, including the little ones.

If you would like to learn more about Morey's Piers and/or the Ghost Ship, you'll want to visit their site online. You can click on each photo in this travel blog post which will open it up in a new window and in an enlarged size, so that you can view all of the details up close. Enjoy!

With all your description of the amusements at Morey's Pier this is the first time I have heard of the Ghost Ship. It sounds like it is a scary adventure and I am sure that older kids must love it. It even looks interesting from the outside photos.
