Our family loves the game of miniature golf and will play it as often as we can. Every time we're on vacation down at the Jersey Shore we stop into one of our favorite mini golf courses at Sunset Beach in Cape May. In our honest opinion, this is the nicest 18-hole mini golf course in all of Cape May County.
Sunset Beach Mini Golf is located right along the beach. On the property you'll find 3 large gift shops, a grille where you can pick up something to eat, the World War II Lookout Tower, and a small nature watch overlook. You can also spend time on the beach sunning yourself and splashing in the water.
The course is open seasonally, weather permitting. It has 18 holes and is generally a par 3 course. It's beautifully landscaped and well-maintained. We've had 3 year olds up to 70 year olds play with us when we're down on vacation. Everyone really enjoys this course. You can select from child-size or adult-size golf clubs, different colored balls, and they give you a score card with a little pencil to keep score.
During the summertime tourist season it can get very busy...especially during the primetime weekend hours, so if you want to avoid the crowds you'll want to go a little earlier in the day. It can get extremely hot while playing, so pick early morning or early evening hours and always bring along your sunblock and water bottle.
It's beautifully landscaped with floral and water areas. It's a fairly easy wall unless your in a wheelchair. My 70 year old mother uses a cane and was able to play the majority of the course with us. There aren't alot of areas to sit down, so be prepared to do a lot of standing. Parking is nearby and free.
