The Progress Diner is located on 314 S. Progress Avenue in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The restaurant is on the bottom floor of a remodeled old home. It's quite small but they offer dine-in and take-out food. Their menu includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner options.
After running errands one day we stopped in for a late lunch. There weren't busy, so we were seated immediately and drinks on our table within a few minutes after that. Our waiter was very attentative and didn't mind answering our questions since it was our first time dining there.
Lunch and Dinner Menu includes various appetizers, soups, salads, hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, quesadillas, a small selection of seafood, meatloaf, open-faced turkey, hot and cold sandwiches, steaks, and more. We found their menu to have just enough offerings to not be over-whelming.
We placed our order and 15 minutes later it was on the table. Everything was cooked to perfection and just the way we had requested. The hot food was hot and the cold food was cold. The portions are very generous in size. Everything presented on the plate nicely. Our waiter was attentative offering additional condiments and beverage refills.
Once we signaled we were ready to leave take-out boxes were brought to us. Checking out and paying our bill was quick and went smoothly. We were very pleased with how delicious everything tasted, their generous portion sizes and their prices are just right! We'll definitely be eating there again.
