Shopping on Steinwehr Avenue in Gettysburg

Shopping on Steinwehr Avenue in Gettysburg Pennsylvania
Steinwehr Avenue is one of the best places to go shopping while visiting Gettysburg. You can park your car in a parking lot, on a side street or on the main street (via parking meter) and walk from store to store. If you love shopping at mom and pop stores and at local-owned small businesses, this is definitely the place to be.

When hitting up the Steinwehr Avenue business district, here are some of the businesses you'll find:

Jeweler's Daughter
R.J. Gibson Portrait Studio
Great T-Shirt Company
Historic 1776 Dobbin House Tavern, Bar & Gift Shop
Gettysburg Diorama & History Center
Gettysburg Heritage Center Museum & Gift Shop
The Lincoln Train Museum & Gift Shop
Battle Theater & Gift Shop
The Civil War Store at Steinwehr
The Regimental Quartermaster Collectibles & Gift Shop
Victorian Carriage Company
The Horse Solider Civil War Antiques & Gift Shop
Victorian Photography Studio
Sutler Shop - Souvenirs & Fine Apparel
Gettysburg Cigar Company
Mr. G's Gift Shop
+ Countless Gift Shops & Souvenir Shops Not Listed Here

Sunset Ice Cream Parlor
+ Additional Restaurants and Cafes

Not all businesses, attractions and/or restaurants are listed here. This is just a small example of what you'll find along Steinwehr Avenue in Gettysburg Pennsylvania.

What's really cool is that you can make an entire day of it. Park your car and get out and walk. You can hit up several of the local tourist attractions on foot (The Lincoln Train Museum, the Gettysburg Diorama, the Gettysburg Heritage Center Museum, Soldiers' National Cemetery, etc.) and in between visiting all of the tourist attractions, you can do some shopping and grab a bite to eat.

While I love shopping at the businesses in the downtown business district, I prefer to shop on Steinwehr Avenue even more, especially when I'm deal hunting and souvenir shopping! Plus, if you're visiting during the winter season, you get FREE parking at all of the parking meters on Sunday along Steinwehr Avenue.

Steinwehr Avenue does seem like an ideal place to bargain hunt or to just find something different. I also would love the ice crem parlor and my sons would love the craft beer.
