TGI Friday's for Casual Family Dining

TGI Friday's Restaurant in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
A few weeks ago we went out for dinner to celebrate my husband's birthday and decided to celebrate at TGI Friday's on Union Deposit Road in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. If you've never visited a TGI Friday's, they offer casual American dining.

We were seated immediately after walking in the door. They weren't crowded at all and our server was very friendly. We had 6 adults and 2 children in our dining party. After being seated we were handed menu's and placed our order for drinks.

One of the reasons we enjoy eating at TGI Friday's is that they offer all type's of different foods. There is something for everyone on their menu. You'll find seafood, fish, steaks, sandwiches, burgers, soups, salads, appetizers, desserts and more! They have a kid's menu that offers a nice variety too. As we waited for our meals the kids were entertained with coloring pages & crayons that our server gave to them.

Our appetizer (soft pretzels with warm honey mustard sauce) was on our table within minutes which we thoroughly enjoyed! Within 30 minutes of placing our orders our entire meal was served. My husband enjoyed a steak, potatoes and a veggie. I ordered fried shrimp, sweet potato fries and coleslaw. Most of the other adults in our dining party ordered steaks or burgers. The kids opted for mac & cheese entrees.

Everything was cooked to perfection and served hot. Our meals looked appetizing in appearance and were delicious! During our meal the chef and manager came out to greet us and to ask us if everything was okay with our meals. We chit-chatted with them for a few minutes and it was nice to see that the employees made sure we were well taken care of.

We were really pleased with our dining experience at TGI Friday's in Harrisburg. The ONLY thing I can say negative is that I wish the restaurant was a little bit cleaner. We did see some dirt on the floor in several places and at least 2 dozen crayons rolling around underneath the tables. Thankfully though, we don't eat off the floors! With that said, they do need to improve upon that.

If you're looking for a nice sit-down, casual meal in the Harrisburg area and don't mind visiting a combination restaurant and sport's bar...we would recommend TGI Friday's on Union Deposit Road. If you want to save money...you'll want to head to their website to look up their current specials and to download any available coupons.
