Visiting the Harrisburg or Hershey area? Looking for a casual dining restaurant that's affordable and kid-friendly? If so, we recommend Hoss's Steak and Sea House Restaurant located in Hummelstown. If you're unfamiliar with the area, it's about a 10 minute drive from downtown Hershey and a 20 minute drive from downtown Harrisburg.
One of the things we really like about this restaurant is that they're rarely crowded. You can typically get seated as soon as you walk in the door and within minutes beverages are on your table with the wait-staff waiting to take your order. Next, they offer a lot of different menu items including: steaks, chicken, pasta dishes, fish, seafood, appetizers, hamburgers, and more.
They're one of a few restaurants that are left that still offer an all-you-can-eat salad bar that's complete with a variety of soups, salads, breads, and desserts. The salad bar is included with your entree meal price or you can order it separately. Plus, they keep their salad bar well-stocked and extremely clean.
We quickly placed our order and within 20 minutes it was on our table. The steaks that we ordered were perfectly grilled to our specifications and were delicious! Everything that we tried from the salad bar was good too! All hot food items were hot and all of the cold food items were cold. Our server was attentive and friendly. A perfect dining experience.
Every time we spend the day down in the Hershey and/or Hummelstown area we like to dine at Hoss's Steak and Sea House Restaurant. We've always had a good experience there and we enjoy all of the menu items that they have to offer. Plus, they're affordable and kid-friendly too.
