When we're in the mood for steaks we head to the Texas Roadhouse on Union Deposit Road in Harrisburg. Why? We enjoy the casual atmosphere and in our honest opinion...they have the best steaks! If you don't feel like dining in you can use their mobile app and place your order to go.
Upon arrive they'll ask you if you would like to pick out your own steak or if you prefer to just order from the restaurant's menu. We're picky steak eaters, so we always elect to pick out our own steaks. You can view them at the steak counter and select the one that you want. They will then take it back into the kitchen and grill it to your specifications.
Once seated your server will hand you a menu and take your order for drinks. All of the servers that we've encountered have been friendly and attentive to our needs. If you enjoy cocktails we recommend the Strawberry Margarita and the Texas Peach Fuzz as two of our favorites! For starters we recommend the Loaded Potato Skins and Rattlesnake Bites. Delicious!
You'll have a lot of choices when it comes to steaks. They're all hand-cut and made-to-order. You can select a Ribeye, Filet, Sirloin, New York Strip, T-Bone, etc. If mushrooms are your thing then I highly recommend that you get your steak smothered in grilled mushrooms. When your server brings your order to the table they will ask you to immediately check the "doneness" of your steak to see if its cooked to your specifications. We've never had to send one back!
The Texas Roadhouse restaurant located on Union Deposit Road in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania gets extremely busy and crowded. If you go Friday through Sunday expect to wait...especially if you go later in the day. We try to go during "off peak" hours due to avoid the crowds. If you want to avoid all of that...use the app and get your meal to-go.
