Family Fun at Strites Orchard's Corn Maze

Strite's Orchard Farm Market Corn Maze in Harrisburg Pennsylvania
Strite's Orchard Farm Market and Bakery has been in business since 1843. It's one of the largest farm markets located in Dauphin County. You can shop for locally grown fresh produce, meats, cheeses, eggs, milk, candy, honey, garden plants, and more. It's a great way to support a local business while getting the items that you need.

During the Fall Season they offer hayrides, apple picking, U-Pick sunflowers, grape picking and a corn maze that families can enjoy. All of their Autumn activities are provided at an affordable price. You'll want to check out the website or their Facebook page for an updated list of seasonal activities.

A few weeks ago our family headed to the Corn Maze which is located about 150 yards from the Farm Market. You'll drive past the market until you see a field on your left. There will be a canopy tent with an attendant located in the field. Park your car and head to the tent to pay your admission. We had 3 adults and 2 children in our party and were only charged $20.00.

You'll want to wear comfortable walking shoes and dress appropriately for the current weather conditions. We recommend that you apply your sunscreen and bug spray before heading out into the field. You can bring along a bottle of water if you choose. Due to Covid-19 masks are required in the Farm Market and are recommended when doing outdoor activities. We chose to wear them due to coming into contact with others during the activity.

Enter the corn maze via the marked entrance and then the fun begins. You can take your time going through the maze. It's an easy walk on a dirt, uneven surface. If you have any disabilities or balance issues...go through the maze with a partner. You'll want to keep the kids nearby and not running off and getting lost. There's no time limit...so enjoy yourselves while you're there.

We spent about 40 minutes in the corn maze exploring around. We left the grandchildren take turns leading the way. Once done we headed down to the farm market to indulge in a dish of Hershey's Ice Cream. They don't offer a lot of different flavors but it is affordable. Overall, the entire family had a nice time and it made for a great family outing.
