Supporting veterans across the country and in our local communities is one of the most important things we can do. Veterans are often unappreciated, especially when they return home. We must never forget their sacrafice in defending and protecting the United States of America.
The American Legion Post 272 in Linglestown, Pennsylvania has been serving the community for over 100+ years. It's one of our favorite Legions in the Harrisburg area. We like to host family birthday parties in their event room. The price is affordable, the staff is super-friendly, and we always get the event catered by them so the food is delicious too!
You can contact them directly to inquire about event and meeting space. The venue space is extremely clean, has plenty of room, an area for a band or DJ to play (if needed) and there is plenty of on-site parking. A really great place to host a family, wedding, or business event.
As big supporters of the military and our veterans we wanted to show you this beautiful veteran's memorial in front of the building. The nearby marker states the following information:
In memory of all veterans who made the supreme sacrifice for their country. Dedicated Veteran's Day November 11th, 1971. This memorial donated by Col. John MC I Smith, 1st Commander of Post 272.
Around the memorial you'll find the donation and memorial bricks which list the groups and people who have donated money over the years. You can contact the American Legion directly to obtain information on that program too.
