If you enjoy natural beauty such as colorful sunrises, sunsets, rainbows, and full moons you'll love visiting the North Wildwood area in southern New Jersey. Every time we go down to the shore were amazed at the natural beauty that the Atlantic Coast has to offer.
One week in June 2022 we were treated to some awesome sights! We had 2 different days where we saw rainbows out over the Atlantic Ocean with one of them being what people call a double rainbow. These rainbows didn't last for seconds and were gone...nope...they lasted for almost 10 minutes each time!!!
Fan of full moons? If so, head to the Hereford Inlet area. One night at around 9:00 PM we happened to be there for the Strawberry Full Moon. We thought it would last only one night...but it lasted for three. Each night the "pinkish" hue of the moon got lighter, but it was still beautiful to see. Everyone came out of their homes and motels to see it.
Sunrises and Sunsets are beautiful on the Wildwood island. For sunrises you need to get up early and head to the beach. The best place to see the sun rise is in North Wildwood, up near the Hereford Inlet. If you want to see gorgeous sunsets we recommend heading to Sunset Lake and Turtle Gut Park located on the bay side in Wildwood Crest.
There are many places along the Jersey Shore where you can go on vacation...but one of our favorite places is North Wildwood in New Jersey. It has a unique vibe and beautiful natural sights for you to enjoy. It's a nature lover's paradise.
